I'm a little excited and nervous as this is my first card. No, not my first challenge card but my first card ever. I would like to thank my wife (see link below) as she is a wonderful teacher and she guided me through the process.
I know that Always Artichoke was optional but since it was the most manly color there, I HAD to use it. Please note: no artichokes were harmed in making this card, and the card is glitter-free. It is a well-known fact that glitter and men do not mix!
I've been wanting to do a card for a while and I thought this challenge was the perfect opportunity. I stuck it out and completed the task even though I did slightly falter at points. My wife kept me going by providing chips and dip and a few whacks on the side of the head. Just kidding, there were no chips or dip.

Well Dan,
Thanks for the story and making me laugh! I can only see the thumbnail at this point but I was drawn to how you used the challenge colours and the simplicity of your layout. TFS!
Dan you're the Man! This is a truly lovely...I mean MAN-ly card And your humor is as refreshing as your wonderful creation. I'm sure your wife is very proud of you! Great job!!!

Way to tough it out, Dan! Can't even tell this card was made by a man! You have made your wife proud I am sure!! Now that you have started a gallery-you must continue to fill it- so we will all be waiting to see what comes next! Great job on the challenge!

I think it's fantastic, Dan! I like the different colors you used on the trees. I'm also glad to see more men taking up this hobby to help us women with ideas for masculine cards. They are always difficult for me. What a sweet wife to help you through this. Keep it up!

Hello,
It was a great feeling to wake up this morning and see so many comments on my card. Thank you!
You have all spurred me on to create more. My promise to you is that I will double the number of cards in my gallery very soon. I will wait until my wife Rebecca gets back from the Stampin Up convention and create something with the techniques she learns there.
Thanks again,
Dan
