Paperdoll in Portland, Oregon hosted an Amuseapalooza event this last week. This was one of my entries to win a gift bag from the shop. The owner was really tickled with this card and said it was a frontrunner for a gift. I sure hope so!
ETA: I was a co-winner! I won an awesome gift bag full of A Muse goodies and stamps. Yahoo!
I punched out the scalloped oval with my Giga punch from a piece of Bazzill Beetle Black paper, pierced the holes, highlighted the holes with a white gel pen and set it aside.
I then stamped the fishing pole with black StazOn on an oval that I cut out with my Coluzzle. I colored the handle of the pole with my Creamy Caramel SU marker, the reel with my More Mustard SU marker and set it aside.
I stamped the fish from the Angler SU set on Poly Shrink with black StazOn, colored the fish with my Cameo Coral and Garden Green SU markers, cut it out, punched a hole, slipped in the jump ring and then shrunk him with my heat gun. I snipped a piece of silver wire and "hooked" my fish on the line. To attach the wire to the rod, I punched a 1/16" hole at the top, threaded it through and taped it down on the back.
I then layered the oval on top of the scalloped oval and used dimensionals to attach it to the A Muse notecard. I used my trusty Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for the Gone Fishing! sentiment and called it good.
I really liked the way this card turned out and hope you do, too. Thanks for looking!
(By the way, this is my first post to SCS. My tummy is in knots!)

Beautiful card! Love black & white! Really makes the fish jump right off the card. There was an Amuseapalooza event locally this past weekend and I wanted to go, but it was my birthday weekend and husband had plans for me so I didn't mention going. Anyways hope you win . . . the prize is FABULOUS! Keep the cards coming! Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

This is a gorgeous card. I really love it. Congratulations you did such a great card for your debut. Wow! Going to my favorites, and will probably be casing this one.
This stood out because of the fishing aspect. I am thinking of getting some stamps related to fishing. I like the square shape and the black and white dots! Great 3D fish with the hook! TFS!
