I learned this technique from a craft show I watch. I put Blue painters tape on waxed paper and punched my butterfiles. I used the M Stewart butterfly punch , I just love the detail on it, but you could use any punch you want. this gave me a stencil to work with. I got glass etching cream at Michaels. Wearing gloves and following the directions on the jar VERY carefully I applied the cream and waited 5 minute. Rinsed off and VOILA! Etched items! I am very excited about this because I envision turning everyday recyclables into gift items. I LOVE making trash into treasure! TFL, Nancyruth

Oh, wow! I REALLY want to try this!!! I like the little votive candle holder idea. You can get those so cheap! Or, I bet I have some candle holders that have burnt up candles that I can recycle!!
