I must say I don't usually CASE other stampers' cards, but it's not bc. I don't like them it's just bc. when I try CASE'ing I usually end up changing things and trying new things so that it never even ever looks like the original.
It makes me so mad some times---especially if there's a card I really like.
BUT this time I put steel bars on my creativity bc. I really liked Julie's (reneejul1) faux layered lovely as a tree card and was bound and determined to make one just like it. I did pretty well ;) I changed the stamp set, the colors, and the sentiment, and I didn't do the sewing on the main image---but overall it's the same
My DD's teacher is getting married this month at the beach and asked me to make her some wedding thank you's (the reception is a luau). So I was thinking this might work, but after making it I think it might be too much hardware...
I made one in bordering blue and one in soft sky---this is bordering blue, but I like soft sky better.
The blue layer is faux---just tear a piece of paper and lay it down on your cs, then brayer ink over the cs. It looks like colored cs, but it's not!
I thumped brown marker on the palm tree.
Thanks for sharing, Julie!
And TFL!

This is really pretty! Not sure I'd want to put that much hardware on something I was going to be making a lot of. Love that faux layering thing...what an awesome idea!
