So my sister in law is NOT a scrapper. So our step-mom-in-law and I made her a scrapbook for her new baby due this fall. We're pretty happy with how it turned out! I just thought I'd share!!

I think you have started something here!! And I can see why, this is such a great idea for a 2-page spread!! I can see adapting this for older person (like me and my siblings who love to get together to play games and cards!!) Great job on this -- very creative!

Well this is actually a steal from a book that my stepmom in law had. It was REALLY difficult to get right - I had to do it 3 times! From the idea in the book, I decided how many tiles there would be - chose 12 "firsts". I did A LOT of measuring. I really copied a lot from the book idea. Anyway, all the "properties" and railroads are family names and then other places that were important to my brother in law and his wife (the church where they met, the AF bases where they were stationed, etc). If anyone needs measurements, I can get them for you. It was really a lot of guess work, etc. I scanned an old Monopoly board of my parents for the corners (go to jail, jail, parking and go). I actually had to lighten then up since the board was kind of gray in color. I can send anyone those pictures if you'd like to have them!!
While it was a lot of work for me, I really enjoyed it and I'm SO pleased with how it turned out!! Thanks for ALL the comments!!
