I made this card for a Vermont Soldier who is currently serving in Iraq. I started this thread Forums at Splitcoaststampers because I heard on the news that Vermont is having a hard time finding donations and volunteers. I decided I wanted to make cards to send over so the soldiers can have greeting cards to send to their loved ones back home. Several people have responded by offering their help as well; thank you ladies!
Well here is one of the cards I made. My inspiration came from this card Independence Day by stamps4funinCA at Splitcoaststampers in stamps4funinCA gallery. Check out her gallery; it's awesome! ;) Her card was so wonderful I tried my own and just made a couple of changes.
I used my Cuttlebug Slide dies and a 1" square punch for the slide across the bottom. I used two different ribbons to slide through it. The patterned paper is an awesome paper I found from Carolee's Creations. It has great words and phrases all over it so I just cut out a section of it for this card. I also used Bazzil Red Cardstock. TFL! Please check out my thread if you can
