When I made this card the day before our anniversary,I had extremely poor vision and couldn't really see the details of what I was doing too well. But, now that my sight's been restored, I think it turned out well in spite of that.
I challenged myself to use one of the black gatefold card bases from Diecuts With a View (DCWV) that I've had sitting in my stash for over a year. All the other paper is from a DCWV card kit.
For the front, I cut down the yellow cardstock to what looked like a good size and then stamped it in Weathered by Sonlight Impressions in Worn Lipstick. On its own, the yellow CS was too bright, and the bright pink Weathered toned it down believe it or not. Cut the ribbon long enough to tie easily, then glued it on the back side of the yellow layer with fabric glue by Alene's. Punched five hearts out of textured patterned cardstock and adhered them on with foam dimensionals. If I'd been thinking, I could have placed the hearts so they interlocked a little more and held the card closed, but it didn't occur to me at the time.
Thanks for looking!!!
