The girl in the set is really laying on a beach towel. I decided to stamp her and cut her out to have her standing on the water's edge. I know these are sort of strange colors for a beach scene but I had this little plastic net bag that my garlic came in and I wanted to use a piece of it to create a little beach bag for her shoes and lotion. It was brilliant blue.....thus the red and blue. I hope you will be able to see the little things in the bag on the scan. I sponged on the water in caribbean and the sand in caramel. I painted little sea oats along the dunes and sketched a couple too many birds in the sky line. I used liquid applique along the water's edge to create the look of the bubbly surf. I added LA to her feet to look as if she is standing there checking for the water temp. I painted the lady with red for her suit and her skin is blush blossom and then caramel to give the sun tanned skin look. I absolutely love this little set.

This card is great in these colors..sort of like the 4th of July...It's so cool, love the water lapping at her feet and I am so happy you left off her head so she doesn't have to worry about getting her delicate facial skin sunburned . She is adorable, her little sports bag is adorable, and this card is adorable!
Happy Birthday to you...
