1st Shaving cream card!

xxxx

Photo Details
Poster: deca1964

I have been wanting to try the shaving cream technique for a while now and so on the weekend I just bit the bullet and tried it. I only have 3 reinkers, Cranberry Crisp True thyme and the gold. I didn't use the gold since I didn't want it to look too "Christmas-y" I used True thyme as the card base and Very vanilla as the base for my shaving cream. I loved how this part turned out. What I don't like is that I decided to put microbeads on my flowers and now I find that that portion is looking very yellow compared to the very vanilla sentiment portion *sigh* Oh well..still not too bad I guess. TFL!

EDITED: As requested..I added the product I used to stick the beads on. For those who don't know what this is, even though it is called "tape" it comes in sheets that you cut down. Thanks everyone for your encouraging comments!!

I like it - I think it is pretty. What did you use to stick the beads on????

You shaving cream background is gorgeous and I really like the beaded look. If you're unhappy with the contrast you could always bead the sentiment to match? But I think it looks beautiful as is.

I think it turned out really nice. If you want more color options, you can also use paint in your shaving cream...tips from a former preschool teacher!

Love the way your shaving cream turned out! Sorry you're disappointed with the beads, I can understand, but it still looks great. I wondered how you got that look so I'm really glad you included such great instructions. (I think it would look even more terrific if there were no sentiment to compare it to - might have to try that!) Into my favs for inspiration!
