I received a very sad email yesterday. My dear friend from where we used to live, has breast cancer. She did not tell me anything at all until after her surgery. During the surgery they found migrating cells. They upped the level of her cancer, and now she will need a course of Chemo. I feel so helpless; so far away. Normally I'd be there, cooking meals, running errands, or just being with her.
Of course I've sent flowers, but what else? I couldn't even think of a card to make. My mind is blank and the wind knocked out of me.
I am still relatively new to Stampin'Up and SCS. But I read alot about the challenges; so I turned to today's challenge for inspiration. This is my F19 to Case a Featured Artist. They chose "Captain Crafter" aka Greg for father's day. I cased his Grateful card. I was supposed to change two things...I didn't have the stamps or hardware, so this is what I came up with.
I am going to follow this theme and make some packaged "Thank you" cards and a decorated notebook for my girlfriend. She'll need to send out Thank you's, I'm sure. and the notebook is something she can carry and jot notes and thoughts in.

Its beautiful and I know that she will appreciate it. I've said a prayer for your friend this morning.

That is a lovely card, what a great friend you are. HUGS for both of you!
