I wanted to make a card for my stepson showing him with wings using a graffiti wall theme. He recently fell 32 feet while on the first week of his new job at a construction site. A scaffold collapsed underneath him and he fell with a sheet of wood and landed on the wood in a spot where was going to be stairs, and missed rebar and concrete all around him. He was so very lucky and so many people have commented how he must have grown wings. He had no spine, brain or internal organ injuries!! His broken bones are healing so well and will be okay.
Most of this card was made on the computer. The red/yellow background picture was found on the Internet, the font was downloaded from a free site, put together with MS Word, and then printed on acetate for Laser Printers. The picture of Jeff was altered to make it a bit “edger”, resized and flipped to how I wanted it – I also used Ruby Red ink with a paint brush to outline the suit. The wings were also printed on acetate and bent before being attached. I drew the black design pattern with a black fine liner to look like a tribal design. He likes that look of tattoos. I wanted it show through the acetate background.
