On a white base showing though, the first layer is heavy black linen, with large pierce holes [via Crop-a-dile], to mimic dots on paper. First vertical layer is stripped DP, then wine cs layer with polkadot DP. Birthday cake + verse are stamped on cream, layered on wine, then on blue. Cake and verse were colored in with markers to match paper. Candles were colored with metallic copper gel pen. Its shiny IRL. Verse is attached with little black brads.
I struggle so much with masculine cards, and I dont know this works either, but I hope you all enjoy this whimsical card,
Valerie

I think it's a great masculine card ... I really like how you punched the holes in the black to let the paper below show through ... gonna have to save that idea for future reference.

I like this alot. Of course spots and dots are my thing...I think I have just about every stamp set that SU makes that has anything to do with Circles.
I think it works well as a masculine card. Into my favorites it goes!
