I posted a card earlier today,my daughter has had this stamp for years, she bought it because she thought it was funny, this was long before we started stamping. I was playing with it and was having so much trouble with the eyes. The just looked weird to me.
See the card here. Wanted! by McStamper at Splitcoaststampers
I wrote to my friend SheStampsHeCamps and mentioned that I thought it looked weird. DUH! My daughter and I were looking at the face all wrong.
This is what Joan had to say: I am laughing myself silly here!!!! On close inspection, I see that the two things you left a uncolored are his NOSE AND EAR!!!! He is looking straight ahead!!!
That big bulbous thing (in-line with his chin) is his NOSE.... the thing to (his) right is his other ear!!!! His eyes are hidden under his BIG HAT!
The funny thing is.... when you think of those two things as glasses, he looks JUST LIKE Theodore Roosevelt!!! LOLOLOLOL
Wow it all makes sense now, Thanks Joan!

The stamp is cute as can be and you've done a marvelous job coloring it. I noticed it earlier but not sure if I commented. Anyway, I love what you've done with it.

LMBO, you're story is too fabulous! Haven't we all had stamping moments like that! And Joan is too right...he DOES look like Roosevelt the other way! Walk softly and carry a big stick! Wonderful card too, btw!

Your first card reminds me of the character in the movie Cat Bellow. The gunfighter with the metal nose! Your colouring is great no matter who he reminds you of. Love it

Barb~ it took me a long time to see the error! I thought it was a slight side view with sunglasses on. I like it both ways~ great job with the coloring!
