This is a card for my dad who just loves music. He played the guitar when he was young and introduced us to so much great music when we were growing up in Russia. Both of my parents encouraged all 4 of us (2 brothers and 2 sisters) to learn the piano. (Now as an adult, I am so grateful they did.) After we moved to the US in 1990, he became the sound technician at our Russian Baptist church, in addition to his full time day job. He would record the background music I wrote for the teen choir (which I directed) and then spent so much of his time and effort setting up the equipment at the church and making sure it sounded the best. After we decided to go to the English-speaking Baptist Church, our close friends hired him as their sound technician for their gospel group. He would travel with them to various locations accross New England setting up and managing the sound equipment.
Anyway, to make a long story short, he loves music and I think this will be a perfect Father's day card for him. Sad to say, this is my first time (at least that i can remember) using the retired Music speaks set. Oh, and definitely the first time using the Weathered set (which I just got.)
One detail on the card I wanted to add. The center image was inked with river rock and then rock-n-rolled in always artichoke and chocolate chip. (Oh, and I also used the brand new River Rock In Color cardstock and ink.)
(Thanks for reading my lengthy description.)
