This is for FS18 and our inspiration artist is Seewah- Sarah. I fell in love with a Christmas card she did with a door in it and there are two scenes to view Welcome to the Claus Home (open) by seewah at Splitcoaststampers and Welcome to the Claus Home by seewah at Splitcoaststampers. I got to thinking about my Bow Wow and Meow Meow sets and how I could do a funny play on Sarah's card. I loved that Sarah created the ceiling and floor of the house with Mrs. Claus out of cardstock. I decided to do the same with my tree leaves and grassy area. I really wanted to keep it simple and clean like Sarah did but somehow I always take things a little too far. I just can't help myself. I stamped and masked the dog and then stamped the doghouse. I hand sketched the tree trunk and lines for the outside of the house and then painted everything with reinkers and watercolor brush. I used an image from Wildflowers for the leaves on the tree and used an olive marker to create the grassy sprigs on the ground I used a scruffy brush to create the brown door and tried to do the faux wood thing but it didn't turn out too great. I stamped the cat on the inside of the door and painted with reinkers. I sketched out the little rug around the cat basket and then sponged brocade blue on the wall for background. I will send this to someone who is an animal lover and will write a fun note inside when I do.

This is fabulous, I love the little door with the dog and cat, wonderful idea! I love how you've taken Seewah's door Christmas Card and made it your own, you have added your own originality to the design and it is so darling!

Kittie, I love this card. Wish I had this set but I don't. My wheels are turning though of what sets I could do this with. Just lots of possibilities. Love your work.
