My son is turning 1 on July 21 and he adores the Backyardigans, particularly Pablo. After mulling making some invites on the computer, I realized how easy it would be to make a Pablo out of paper... and then decided to do a surfs up theme. I used pastels for the background, my coluzzle for Pablo though I had to make the mouth, the design from Delight in Light as the "waves" on the ocean and the flowers to make the lei. Surfs Up is the title of an episode starring Pablo but also relates to his sprinkler-filled summer party :)
