Jen70, I had to try your challenge for this week. I had a good time putting this accordion card together and will be using it in June 07 stamp camp. It was time-consuming to tear all these smaller images; so, I'll probably give my class the option to just cut with scissors and distress a little.
The background was tone on tone with stars and swirls (I think!). The background is understated, thank goodness, because the rest of the accordian is pretty busy. Used hardware hodgepodge and antiqued all the elements then crinkled them up before adhering them to the card.
I am trying to used up my in-color items and it worked well for this accordian. My inspiration for this card was lesarapp, who made a beautiful patriotic tag card back in 6/2005. Thank you, lesarapp.
