This card's design is based on Beate's sketch, which can be found on her blog ( Blogs at Splitcoaststampers ).
As for the colors, they're inspired by Vicky, who challenged us at the Ottawa Convention to make a card using our least favorite colour. My instant answer when she asked was "Urgh - Glorious Green!"
And whaddya know, I actually don't hate it half as much paired with Handsome Hunter and Cranberry Crisp. Since HH is another colour I barely use, I guess this challenge *really* stretched me out of my comfort zone.
It's kinda hard to tell in the picture, but at the bottom, I've stamped a boot and popped it up on a dimensional. I've also tied some "shoelaces" on using some copper cord.

Cute card! I had meant to do her challenge, but never got to it before the deadline. I still may try, especially after seeing this card - what a great job!

What a cute card! Using colors you normally hate seems like a good way to stretch your brain out and start seeing things in a new light. I'll have to give it a go
