My first altered lunchbox!! I have to admit that there are a couple of bubbles, but overall, I was pleased how this turned out. This will be an end of the year gift for the contract spanish teacher at my kids elementary school.
I need to say thanks to Emily for the GREAT tutorial!! I had to cut my own template for the latch (don't know why my computer ENLARGED her template!). For the lid, I first painted it with acrylic antique white paint, but didn't like the brush strokes, so I got out my sea sponge and the craft choc chip pad and added some "texture" and prima flowers (held on with CE). Useful hint: for removal of paint/ink on the metal or handle~ use a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol. Works great!!

This is a wonderful tin--and even more wonderful 'cause it's your first one! I love what you did with the top. Great idea! Nice choice of colors and patterns. I've made a number of these tins too--aren't they fun? TFS!
