When this challenge was announced--to use the colors of brown eyed susans, I immediately thought of my mom. When I was a kid she had the huge sofa size painting hanging in our living room. It was a field of daisies and brown eyed susans with a large barn in the background and Mom loved that painting and she's always loved these flowers. Her birthday is the end of this month, so I had to do a card to honor dear Mom.
The wc and choc chip edges are distressed. I used wc crayons and aquapainter (I soooo need more practice with that thing!) to color the flowers. The choc gingham ribbon is a mini spool from Michael's and one of my favs. The card base is done with faux wood in choc chip ink in honor of the barn in Mom's painting.
