Thanks, Keri!!! There are so many possibilities for this design, and I used it here to make this money holder for my niece's college graduation. Granted, you have to fold the check to fit in the pocket, but I don't think my niece minded. :o)
I finally used this pretty Rebecca designer paper that I just had to have. The card base is Regal Rose, 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 2 and 6 inches. A piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock was mounted under the top flap for a little accent border. I allowed 1/4 inch of the Regal Rose base to show under the paisley print paper and used the Chocolate Chip marker to add a matching border above the pink strip.
The focal image is on dimensionals and, to jazz it up a little more, sponged the edges with Sahara Sand and used my clear glaze pen to make the dots around the larger Chocolate scallop circle. On the inside, I used sticky strip to seal the sides to make the pocket. The card is held shut with half of a velcro dot.
Once again, I used my dark brown Sharpie to make matching brads. In hindsight, I wish I had mounted some small Regal Rose circles (1/4 inch?) underneath them to set them off a little better. They get a little lost in that busy small paisley pattern.

Oh, my! This is a very pretty example of this gift card holder! Love those scalloped circles and the dot accents. I think your brads show up just fine, too. Also, I'd forgotten about this pretty paper. Guess I should pull it out before it's old hat. Thanks for the reminder!

What a beautiful gift card holder -- I love making them and I love both the Rebecca and Sarah papers -- they are so pretty!!! I love the banding of pink bordered by the brown on each side on the flap -- just gorgeous -- I am sure your niece just loved it!!!
