Here's the card I made for the Stampin' Girls Convention 2007 swap (for demos). I wanted to use stamps that wouldn't be retired. My 4 1/2 year old daughter helped me with these cards. She was a big help tying the knots - that extra finger to press down is a big help. She also helped colour the flowers when I showed her how she could do it herself and the results were nice enough to use on the cards. I like to think of this as a result of my great teaching and her wonderful talent rather than thinking that I watercolour like a 4 year old....
The background is done with the Leaf Prints wheel inked with Versamark and then wiped with a microfibre cloth dipped in Micropearl Pearl Ex. The microfibre cloth applies the pearl ex at the same time as wiping off the excess so this is very quick and easy and gives a great effect. I sponged the edges of the square lightly with ruby red and bravo burgundy. I got the layout from someone's sketch challenge on their blog. Sorry I don't remember where I saw it. I'll see if I can find and re-post.
ETA: It was on Amy Westerman's blog, Heartfeltgreetings, and it was Super Sketch Sunday #12.
