These cards are made for a 3x3 swap. The swap is to use our scrap bins to make the cards so we were to use the same stamps and layout and then change the colors to use up our scrap (well, I made a tiny dent in my pile) :-)
The image here is stamped on a product called Stampbord. It is thinker than chipboard. It is clay covered and the company says that it will accept any type of ink, paint, etc. I used both classic and craft inks and they both covered great!! You can also "scratch" some of the color away to get some great details.
For these cards, I used 3 different colors on each square by sponging them on - lightest on the whole square and darker colors around the edges. Then I stamped a small part of a bigger stamp using StazOn Black. I did a little "scratching" to look like the veins on the butterfly wings.
I hope everyone likes their cards :-)

Cool! They look wonderful en masse like this. I've heard of stampbord and wondered what it was - thanks for the lowdown. I love how you've used your scraps for this and the rainbow of colours is wonderful. Great job!
