I was so excited to do this challenge because I usually do kid pics before anything else, so these pics of a trip I took to New Zealand have been waiting to be scrapbooked for 16 years - so Hurrah!!! This is a very simple layout for me, but I didn't want to cut the pics and I have tons and I don't want to do a lot of pages on each location, so this worked best for me. For the challenge, I decided to carry the browns and blues from the pictures into the papers and embellishments... Funny about this page - I actually had these cool chipboard letters I used for the title originally, then looked back and my notes and realized I had spelled the name of the location incorrectly! So I had to ditch the cool letters and use my QuicKutz so the correct name would fit! Oh well!! Oh, and the journaling on the left page is just a description of the location and the date, and the jounraling on the right reads: My grandmother told me once that whenever she feels overwhelmed she goes some where that reminds her how small she is in the grand sceme of things. This is what I remember of Lake Rotoiti - the beauty, nature, and power all larger than life. A place to put things in perspective.
