This is for the WT110 challenge to use Orchid Opulence. I don't know why we don't turn to it very often because it really is a lovely color. I pulled out the color wheel to see what would look good with it and Hunter was one of the main colors. I thought a little woodsy scene would look darling with an orchid truck and orchid flowers everywhere. Let's face it......I think the little truck looks good in any color and in any scene. I even used orchid for the sky. I really love this and would have never in a million years thought it.
I stamped the truck once on scrap watercolor paper and another time on this main layer. I wanted to pop the truck up over the tires to add depth. I sponed around the trruck with caramel for the road and hunter for the ground. I added the trees and painted them with hunter as well. I used my mini fern stamp to apply texture in hunter for the ground area and then with orchid for flowers every where. The orchid flowers softened up the whole dark green scene so nicely. I painted the truck and cut it out to pop up. I used my orchid marker to paint the satin ribbon to match. I sponged on the sky using my cloud template.

Oh Kitty! So glad you have given Orchid your blessing! I was feeling like I was the only one who loved to work with it!
Your card is fabulous as always. Love the way you popped the truck to make it 3-D.
I really appreciate how you always give a *tutorial* of how you did your cards. Makes us all think we could do it too, but, sadly, most of us can't come close. But, we can always try!!!!!
