finally time to play with papertrey ink's new faux ribbon! i'm having a harder time coming up with new ideas for this set than the previous two--it's hard to go beyond the great cards in the papertrey gallery! i guess that means i just have to play harder!
i started by stamping a scrap on my desk with various colors and designs, kind of a pattern, but not really--i just kept leaving spaces and filling them in as i changed colors. when i trimmed it into a square, i had a leftover section which i cut apart into individual pieces, bent them here and there and stuck them to both sides of a pop dot for added dimension. i stuck that to the back center of the present and added more pop dots to the back. i also added a little glitter with the sakura stardust glitter pen on some of the designs. after stamping the sentiment, i cut the tag shape around it and punched a tiny hole. then i looped it over one of the bow pieces with silver cord and added a mini glue dot to make sure it stayed in place. other than trying to figure out the bow, it didn't take too long and i love the bright & cheery colors!
