This is for CC111. What a sad, terrible thing!!! Thanks, Emily for bringing these card requests to our attention. It seems like so little to do!!
A friend of mine gave me this tree image last year and I had never used it. It has no markings on it at all to give credit to. I thought the simplicity of the tree trunks and small little limbs with a leaf or two was significant to represent loss. The colors were hard for me but I forged ahead. I painted with burgundy reinker for the tree and ground and then used the artichoke for the few leaves and scrubs. I added pumpkin pie for a flowering element along the shrub and added touches of color around the leaves. I used marigold morning to sponge on color over the complete scene. It really is just a lighter version of the pumpkin and just added so much to the eeriness of the stark scene. I used my Karen Foster Snap Stamps for the sentiment as I have no sympathy stamps at all.
