Made this card for nephew's First Communion. Does it need something else?
Window image is from the Artful Stamper (Canadian)
Praying hands are Inkadinkado and of course Gorgeous grapevine from SU
I masked the window and praying hands onto acetate with Staz-on in black. Made the stained glass pieces and coloured them in with 3D ink Glaze pens (Sakura)
The grapes are done with Elegant Eggplant, Orchid Opulence, Garden Green and Handsome hunter.
Base is Bazzill paper. Layered one image of leaf for depth.
Sentiment is done from computer onto clear label
Do I need anything else to give this some kick??? TFL!!

Maybe some more vines twining around?? Or a green ribbon twisted with some grapes or a cross hanging from it? (in lower left hand corner) Or maybe just more grape bunches with some of them in 3-D. The stained glass window is beautiful...I can never make that acetate stuff work for me. My best wishes to your nephew. Have a Happy...Cotton

This is very nice. I agree with another poster that a mat of some sort would be nice, maybe cut the front of the card off, trim it and mount to another piece of cardstock. Purple would bring out the grapes, black would bring out the sentiment and stained glass window. You could also tie some gold cord around the spine of the card, maybe wrap a few times. If you have some solid circle stamps, you could stamp some of those in a sandy colour near the grapes to represent the bread. Similarly some sheaves of wheat or loaves would also be symbolic.

What a beautiful card!!! Thank you so much for sharing all the details on what you used to make it, plus the super-cool idea of using clear label paper for sentiments. I never would have heard of this otherwise; TFS!!!!!!!!!

If your not up for a mat, layering makes things richer appearing I thing,...I would re stamp the communion greeting in the cream, layer it on black and cover your greeting with it. That will add depth that you started with your ivy. This is a lovely card by it self. That stained glass is stunning.

I agree, I think it looks great! One thing that might be kind of cool is if you took some organdy ribbon and fashioned it somehow at the base of the grapes leaves, near the top of the bunch of grapes. Maybe green or purple? LOVE your card!
