Originally I was going to use stamps with acrylic paint directly on the paper. That didn't work too well, so instead I got out some Fancy Pants chipboard tags and painted them with Making Memories paint - I got the Christmas pack with red, green and white on clearance for $2 after the holidays. I painted one green and one red. Then when they were dry, I painted a corner of each one with white so the color still showed through a tiny bit. I decorated with ribbon and rub-ons, also from Making Memories.
Journaling talks about the family tradition:
IVERSON FAMILY CHRISTMAS 2006
Every year on Christmas Eve, the Iverson family gets together to celebrate the holiday. Itís been a family tradition for as long as I can remember. When my grandparents were alive, we often gathered at their house. But after they died, Aunt Carol made sure the tradition continued. We average 40 to 45 people each year, including aunts and uncles, all the cousins and their families, the relatives of people whoíve married into the family, and even a few people who just need a place to go on Christmas Eve. Then, as the evening winds down, Mom takes pictures of each family. Itís been a fun way to chronicle how everyone has changed over the years!
