Catching up on challenges I missed while on vacation. This one is for last weeks technique lovers challenge; reverse masking. I love to use this technique on one layer cards to give them more depth.
I cut an oval mask out of scrap card stock using my coluzzle, removed the oval and used the remaining card stock for my mask. Placed the mask on a very vanilla card body and sponged lightly with creamy caramel, adding more color around the edges. The flower stamp was inked with vintage violet, the stem with alway artichoke marker after removing ink with a q-tip. The flower was stamped off first then stamped repeatedly without reinking. I removed the mask then stamped the verse in basic black. I debated whether to add ribbon to this but I think I like it just as it is.

Beautiful card. I love the seeming simplicity of this one (even though it took time to do the masking).
Thanks for sharing. I love new ideas on one layer cards.
