I actually have a reason for making a baby card! One of my fellow grad students is having a baby and her baby shower is this weekend. Perfect excuse to pull out the baby stamp from very punny as I have no other excuse to ever use that one.
For some reason I have been making square cards lately. I had decided I wanted to follow the mosaic/four squares look for the card. I originally had four squares of babies but that just looked creepy. So I used the sweet stuff stamp which to me fits the baby stamp better than the phrase it comes with. I stamped some yellow dots over the phrases and edged the four with bue ink. Coloured in the images. It was still missing something so I found a mini clothes pin, made a small vellum tag and that was that!

Cute card... To give you another idea to use the baby stamp with is... We made covers for post-it note pads and put the baby with the saying "crib notes" on the flap from the Very Punny stamp set. These are easy to make. Measure your post-it pad, e.i. 3" square, you will want a front and a back with room for the edge, approx. 1/4", and a flap that comes down 2/3's on the front. You can use a background stamp to texture the cardstock and stamp whatever design you want on the flap. You can also decorate the back of the cover instead if your design is larger than the flap. If your cardstock is too dark stamp on a light color and attach to the flap. I use a velcro dot to hold the flap closed. These make nice teacher gifts. Hope this isn't too confusing. Linda
