My friend lent me Serene Sunflowers so I thought I would try it out for fun. I was also inspired by Julia Stainton's blog tutorial on sewing-machine-stitching on paper. http://bellepapier.blogs.splitcoasts...aper-tutorial/ For once in my life it was *hard* to sew in a crooked line! Crazy...one look at any of my sewing projects and you'd think this was my strength!
This was a fun card to make. I'm sure I'll enjoy playing with this set!
Card details: sunflowers double-stamped with Marigold Morning & More Mustard, turning the stamp 90 or 180 degrees between colours. Leaves are stamped in True Thyme and Always Artichoke. The bees are done in Chocolate Chip craft ink and heat embossed, as is the "cherish". For texture, etc. the edges of confetti and marigold cardstock are sponged. Confetti edges are inked in choc chip and edges of marigold are distressed. Linen stamped on True Thyme and Canvas stamped on confetti (stamped off first). A double row of crooked stitching goes around the confetti layer.
