I made this out of 4x4 coasters for my daughter's desk. The paper is Basic Grey Stella Ruby and I added some photos on three sides.
The front is cut out so that the paper can be removed easily.
Here's how I cut the opening:
I traced the width of my ruler centred on the 4x4 coaster. I then used a 1 1/4 circle punch to give me the rounded bottom - I punched out the circle and then traced the curve and cut with my scissors ALL before I added the paper. I used an exacto and sanding block to clean up the edges.
MAY 10 ETA: I used glue strip to stick on the bottom coaster -very sticky and not effective. I have since found out that if you just punch 2 holes in each corner of the bottom coaster you can start threading your ribbon there and not have to use any adhesive to hold the bottom coaster on!
