I'm doing a project at this month's upline's meeting and have been asked to do Lumiere. So I've been forced to finally open the jar that I ordered... hmmm... how many years ago?!?!!! After reading all I could on this product I've started playing with it... now wish I had 'played' much sooner!!!
This card is my 2nd attempt with this stuff and I LOVE what this lumiere does/looks like IRL.
The technique is called Mother of Pearl. See Beate's excellent tutorial in the Resources section on how to do this. The flowers' colors were aquapainted using reinker, then a touch of lumiere with a 'bare touch' of brocade blue mixed in was added to the flowers. I'm rather pleased with this card's outcome... I was trying to capture the blue lupine I see during my morning drives to work.

What a beautiful card! I, too, have had an unopened jar of Lumiere sitting here for too long. This card is so beautiful I think I just might be opening it up after all. Thanks for the beautiful inspiration!

This is beautiful. I like Luminere. It adds a nice shine.
