for the ScrapBook Diva Challenge we were given a sketch, could only use basic supplies - no patterned paper, embellishments were brads, eyelets, paper clips and staples. Had to use earth tones plus one color of our choice. Everything was to be balanced, useing the rule of three, use basic shapes in new ways.
On the first page, I cut the small circles focusing on our hands while we were working on our jack-o-lantern. I used eyelets for the circle and did the paper piercing on the top strip to simulate the pumpkin poking. I also chose the textured paper as I thought it worked great for the pumpkin page.
journaling: Katie didn't like helping take the seeds and pulp out of the pumpkin, but she was really into helping carve the face. She chose the shapes and the placement of the scary face.
