I love the look of embossed vellum (I hope you can see the dimension in the photo). I stamped the image first, the embossed free-hand on the back side using one of those cheap foam-type mousepads underneath. Be careful to rub gently or you'll poke through the vellum. It's better to rub genlty many times instead of rubbing hard once. After embossing, color in with markers on the back side, if desired. Because of the frosted look you get with embossed vellum, the color will be soft and muted on the front. That's all there is to it! Then I 'stitched' and mounted!
The side treatment was done by scoring just the front of the card about 1/2" from the fold then punching the holes and tying the ribbon. I love the look of the ribbon on the side and the card will stilol open!
