I love to visit my friend Erika in the fall. She lives in Connecticut and often tells me about her apple-picking trips. Next time I visit, I'm going to ask her to take me apple picking.
This "room" depicts me, my husband and our 2 boys on a future apple-picking trip in CT. Of course, since the boys are the same size as my DH, it must be MANY many years later (my youngest isn't even born yet!). At least I will still have my black hair - no gray! LOL!
And I do realize the bucket of apples is twice as large as our pickup truck, but I hear hand-picked apples are really awesome...

Oh.....you are so going to love to pick apples in Connecticut. We pick apples here in OHIO and they are wonderful and so often it does seem like the apples are larger than normal. I know they are larger than in the grocery stores. But apples picked right off the tree are so delicious. You just have to eat them in the orchard and feel the whole effect of the experience.
Love your card...so glad you will take your whole family with you. My hair started turning silver when I was about 20 so I have always colored it...lot of different colors. Be happy you still have your black hair.
And one more thing...the surrounding trees will be just as colorful as you have presented in the room card...It's a great time of year! Thanx for participating in the challenge. You have made a great card. Send it to your friend, Erika, so she will remember to take you apple picking. Trips to friends, with friends, are the best.
I miss picking apples. I grew up in Indiana and we'd go to the orchard a couple times each fall. I always ended up eating too many apples while we were there and invariably got sick. But boy was it worth it. Apples straight off the tree can't be beat and there are always so many different kinds that all look and smell so good.

I love this card. It made me wistful too. We take our boys to an orchard/pumkim patch (at the same place) every Fall. And let me tell you, if you Don't wait til your boys are the same size as you, you Will come home with a bucket full of apples that size. Mine just don't want to stop-more, more, more! I hope you get to go soon. Its a wonderful experience and a wonderful card.
