I made this for my DSIL who is 9 yrs. old. The pens I got as a 4 pack at Targets dollar spot. I have 4 jars to make for the kids, so thought these would be better than the beaded pens. The journal is a shaker. I filled the bottom of the jar with hand made paper shreds and artificial snow.

How cute! I'm working on a journal jar for my DSIL. But, she is much older. I really do lime the idea of a shaker jar.

hi punchnut~
here is a thread with some good links to journal jar sites: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
Mine has 100 slips of paper w/ single questions on them, for my DSIL to take one out each day, glue it to the journal page, then answer the question, for a finished journal about her. Really cool gift idea:smile:

and it is really great, has printable journal strips. I totally love this idea!! Thank you so much for posting, this is going in my "cool inspirations" folder as a stamp camp project for my scrapbookers. Thanks again
