I needed to make a Thank You card for a woman who donated a large piece of property for a new facility for the equine therapy program that my youngest son attends. The property is adjacent to a pretty busy highway, and she could have made a lot of money from the sale of it, but instead she gifted it to the Bit by Bit program so that special needs kids could have a gorgeous, clean and well lit place to ride horses. Pretty wonderful, don't you think?
And, since Duckwaddlequack is this week's Featured Stamper, I cased her gorgeous Gallery at Splitcoaststampers. Both the image and the sentiment are embossed with Polysparkle embossing powder. The circle layer is mounted on 3-D dots for depth. The changes I made are:
-- color scheme: her card was copper and blue, and I changed it to celery and light blue
-- stamps: I used a stamp from CTMH's Alfresco set and the sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink's Paper Tray set.
-- embellishments: where she used a square metal brad, I used a button with ribbon
-- background paper: DWQ's background was embossed. Alas, I have no Cuttlebug, so I made do with dp by Wild Asparagus
