Last summer I agreed to make and send birthday cards on behalf of the PTA board for the faculty and staff members at my sons' school. This is the card I made for the principal.
I am very pleased (if I say so myself ) with how the designs on the patterned paper turned out for the iris folded frame. The piercing in the corners was a last moment decision, and I like the effect. The "happy birthday" stamp does have a flower on it, but I decided to take it up a notch by gluing a Prima flower over it. The flower's center was punched from a scrap left over from the frame.
This card measures 5.5" square.

This is cool...love it. I like the iris folding...I've never done that.

That iris folded frame is awesome!! I've never tried one, but looks very complicated. I really like the idea to place a Prima on top of the stamped flower.
