I wanted a soft look, but with this stamp, I had to use bolder colors for the images to show well, so I used the darker color of the base to get the look I was after.
I found that these stamps work the best if you are careful about not putting on too much ink and that if you want a multicolored look, it's really easiest to stamp more than once using different colors of inks and cardstock, then to cut apart and mount these pieces to have more than one color.
The brads are on top of "faux" buttonholes, which were really a happy accident. I punched one hole in the wrong place using my paper piercer, so I made a row of holes and inserted the brads in just three of them. Then I got to looking at it and thinking that they reminded me of buttonholes, so I took a craft knife and cut slits, then used the gel pen to make the "stitching" around the buttonholes. The brads are glittered to add a little more bling to the card.
