I decided to try the blurred watercolor technique, and I liked the results. The hard part was figuring out how to put my finished image on a card. The layout is always the hard part for me. After getting out a bunch of paper to build layers, I put most of it back, since I remembered seeing a card that had a background that was pierced and stamped, so I did that, and used the watercolor method on the background. (Later, I found the card I had seen. It was one of Jen's samples from the LSC104 challenge. Doh! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers )
After I assembled the card, it was missing something. I asked DH what it needed, and he said it needed ribbon on the basket. I don't have a lot of ribbon (yet) but I did have some lavender organdy ribbon. I didn't use much of it to make the bow so I figured that it fits the criteria for the Scraps 'o Ribbon challenge. The ribbon was indeed the thing that the card needed.

Love your comment " I don't have a lot of ribbon*****YET**** won't take long. Ribbon collecting is very habit forming. Your card is very pretty and that little bit of ribbon on the basket is perfect.

Hi! It's almost a year later, but I'm finally seeing your card for the first time. I like it! I found Basket of Blossoms in my collection the other day; so I'm here looking for ideas and I came across yours. Very nice. I like the strip of stamping on the card itself with the pierced edge on either side. Nice way to do a background without overwhelming the whole thing. Your two layers are perfect. And the bow is the finishing touch! How much ribbon do you have now? Smile!
