This is the card front I made for the CNY SCS gathering (Feb 24, 2007).
I forgot to add the story of how this card came to be. I signed up for the card front swap because I didnít want to be a party pooper, but I mainly do scrapbooking and have just recently ventured into the card-making side of things. So I was kind of at a loss as to WHAT to make for this swap. So I started out by selecting products that I would use, rather then thinking of a design. The last time I cashed in my Great Rewards I wanted to use the MAX amount of them, so the selection that accomplished that was a Metallic package Ė metallic paper, cord and magic mesh. The downside was that Iím a HUGE silver fan and you didnít get to chose, it came with copper. So I decided that I would USE UP this copper stuff for my swap (nice of me to unload the stuff I donít want, huh?). The next decision was what stamp set to use. So I figured I would just open up the catalog and the first stamp set that I came to, that I already owned, is what I would use. I was shocked that I did actually have to flip 4 or 5 pages before I came to a set I owned Ė Pines. The rest of the design kind of just evolved (very s-l-o-w-l-y!!!) from there. I enlisted the help and advice of some of my stamping buddies and I even emailed debbiedesigns for some feedback (as I just love her work Ė and so many others here on SCS!!!) I was very pleased with the end result and I have to say that I really do like copper now! ‹
