I realized last night that I didn't have Valentines for my family yet (!) so i whipped up a couple with this little spider. Pretty much a one minute card, LOL. I used the negative from the lg. oval punch to make the oval to 'ground' the spider. It's a little big, but it worked. This one's for DH and inside it says The Best is yet to come.
Oh - my big 'special touch' was to outline the heart with my new Sakura Stardust pen - first time I used it! LOL

I love the simplicity of this card. I have been racking my brain for ways to use this spider for valentines. Your card was very inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

OMG! Too funny. I had almost the exact situation - I was only missing one for my daughter, but was at my UL's studio, so stamped this exact bug to use for her! Hey - necessity is the mother of invention/greatness/wonderful valentines! (PS - I didn't think of the oval - nice touch!)

So great! The oval is the perfect touch. I'm always having to 'ground' images too, but mine usually end up in a clump of grass. Love the oval idea, and the mortise mask was a perfect way to go. Great job! Love the colors and simplicity of this.
