I had so much fun making this card I just had to share it. It was my husband's Valentine's card today. We live in tropical north of Australia and it was a really hot day so I thought this would be appropriate for him. I found the pattern for the flower in the Stamping and Papercraft (Australia) Magazine. The artist is "Greg Sukendra". The rest I designed my myself. I did use some versamark watermark stamping ink - is that enough to qualify this as a stamping project ;-D
Teal card was embossed with fiskars texture plate through my trusty Spellbinders wizard die cutting & embossing system. The Dragonfly & tree branch & heart shaped leaf are wizard dies. The flower and leaves I made from the paper piecing pattern. A handy trick to shape the leaves and orchid petals is to rub a miniature spoon on the reverse of them onto a mouse pad. Wet chalks were used in the centre of the orchid and then finally some micro beads in dimensional magic glue. The dragonfly and "o" are done with watermark ink and powdered pearls. Bamboo was a 5 cent special at Big W.

What beautiful art!! I am favoriting this for future reference. Happy Valentine's Day down there.......or was that yesterday? Envious of your tropical heat wave, since we are buried under snow and ice where I live.

This is truly gorgeous!!! I'll bet your husband loved it!!!! Lovely to live in Australia I would think... nice and warm most of the time? I am on the west coast - on the Pacific Ocean here - so we have ( for Canada ) a very moderate climate...loving your gallery!
