Hi Debbie:
Sorry, but I didn't have any written instructions! All I did was kinda' judged how far out from the card I wanted my pop up to "pop" and just measured the width of the cutout deer image, used this measurement, less a bit for the width of the pop up, drew a few pencil lines, then cut with a craft knife.
I think the height was approximately 1/2". So, on the left side of the card I began cutting 1/2" from the fold line, cutting over the fold line for approx 1 1/2". I made another cut line to complete the "slit". Then I used my scoring tool to connect the 2 identical lines that I made, one at one end of the lines, one at the other end of the lines and 1/2" in from each of these lines again. Then, voila, with a little help, the paper just kinda' "popped" up! I then glued my cutout deer image to the popped up edge.
Hope this helps. I'm not very good at explaining, I'm better at showing!!
