Yep, it is that time of the year again! Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so if you haven't started your cards yet - welcome to my world!! LOL! I've managed to get a few done and then tonight, the ever challenging "guy" Valentine card. Not too fussy, not too pink, and not too foo-foo, please! I had fun with this one and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Thought about adding some Crystal Effects and glitter, but managed to hold myself back. The hearts were colored using an aquapainter and the ink off of the lid of the pads from Real Red and Creamy Caramel - yes, the pink hearts are just more water and less red ink and the dark chocolate hearts are more layers of caramel ink. For the sentiment on the side, I inked each word (one at a time) with the Close to Cocoa marker then stamped them side-by-side. The wagon was colored with Real Red and Basic Black markers. I then stamped another wagon with Real Red, cut out just the wagon part and layered it over the markered piece. Gives it just a little extra texture and the saturation of the red looks better, I think.
