This card almost became a "whatev". You know, those cards you get stuck on and can't get quite right, so you just finish them quickly, throw them at the bottom of a basket and call it a night...
But then, I added the ribbon and thought I could pull the ends through a Hodgepodge piece and then I put the dress a little to the right, above the sentiment, instead of centering it, and voilà . Definitely better.
I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but I stamped and clear-embossed Big Blossom on my patterned paper (pp from the last Spring mini). I used my two-way glue pen to add glitter to the center. The flower still wasn't popping enough - should have gone with my first instinct and use sparkly powder instead of clear – so I rubbed some Blush pastel on the outside of the petals. It's still very much a tone-on-tone look, but at least, now we can see the flower emerge from the background.
The flowery mat around the dress was made by stamping the umbrella a few times to create a rectangle on Caribbean cs, then I used the paper snips to cut the mat out.
