I stamped the image of the boy on Confetti White cardstock with Basic Black ink. I made sure to give the image time to dry and soak into the cardstock.
To do the watercoloring, I squished the lids of my inkpads against the pads themselves and then opened them. When I opened them, there was a layer of ink on the lids. I used a Small Watercolor Brush to put some water on my lids, which created custom paint from my ink. I then watercolored the image. Depending on how much or how little water you use, you can create light shades of ink or dark shades of ink. I used a darker shade of ink (using less water) to create the darker shaded look on my watercolored image (you can especially notice this on the folds of the shirt, the legs and arms and the sandcastle). I used Mellow Moss, Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue, Barely Banana, Sahara Sand, Creamy Caramel and Blush Blossom for watercoloring.

I really like this card! Great job on the watercoloring! I have this set and 2 little boys who spent time at the beach. Can't wait to try what you did!
