I stamped my little girl image with Basic Black ink on Confetti White cardstock. I made sure to give the image time to dry and soak into the cardstock.
To do the watercoloring, I squished the lids of my inkpads against the pads themselves and then opened them. When I opened them, there was a layer of ink on the lids. I used a Small Watercolor brush to put some water on my lids, which created custom paint from my ink. I then watercolored the image. Depending on how much or how little water you use, you can create light shades of ink or dark shades of ink. I used a darker shade of ink (using less water) to create the darker shaded look on my watercolored image (you can especially notice this on the folds of the dress and the hat). I used Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Mellow Moss, Bashful Blue and Blush Blossom for watercoloring.
